A tragicomedy, swinging between tones, jars but works to a large degree. Like 'The Office', the audience laughs at the lead, laughs uncomfortably at the lead, and feels his anguish; but far more of the last here.

The more I contemplate this story of the lead’s journey over decades, the more the film grows in my mind. Tao Zhao is excellent, and the sun the film revolves around.
