What a disappointment from the director of DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE APES and CLOVERFIELD!
The look is so murky as to make this movie barely watchable.
The actors are dragged down by leaden dialogue and convoluted storytelling. Normally competent thesps are adrift. The Riddler's clues and the character responses are shockingly bad.
The welcome political commentary needed expansion; contrast the blockbuster sophistication of WAR FOR THE PLANET OF THE APES.
THE DARK KNIGHT has proven to be the definitive take.
