ANT-MAN is probably the lowest creative point in the Marvel Cinema Universe so far. The sequel looks more stylish. Out to own today: Marjorie Prime
FARGO [season 3] ★★★★★
A rarity: Both depressing and exhilarating. The presentation of evil in human form is unusually horrifying. Organised crime as a force of nature. Hope comes in the form of those who combine intelligence and honour. The last time director Jason Reitman, writer Diablo Cody and actor Charlize Theron teamed up was for YOUNG ADULT. JOURNEY'S END ★★★☆☆
D: Saul Dibb (Suite Française, The Duchess). S: Sam Claflin, Paul Bettany, Asa Butterfield, Stephen Graham, Tom Sturridge, Toby Jones. Charismatic and sporadically vivid, but says little new about the First World War. It feels like a play. My review: http://www.filmaluation.com/journeys-end.html |

Noun, “filmaluation”: The evaluation of a film Verb, "to filmaluate”: To evaluate a film I am well aware how difficult it is to make a film, put on a stage play, create a television show, write a novel, let alone make something of note.
