MADONNA ★★★★☆ Shin Su-won follows PLUTO with something even darker. Atmospheric and disturbing, there is a LILYA 4-EVER catalogue of abuse and exploitation, albeit with the occasional respite of thriller mechanics.  Will Angelina Jolie's third film as director be her first movie behind the camera that excels? MY LOVE, DON’T CROSS THAT RIVER ★★★☆☆ Uplifting and tear-jerking documentary, on a couple who have been married for three-quarters of a century. Manipulative (there are even puppies), but if you roll with it there is bitter-sweet pleasure.   COLLECTIVE INVENTION ★★★½☆
South Korean social satire targets plenty, and shields its bile behind farce. Initial impressive single shot, a style aberration, should have been continued to the rest of the movie.
OFFICE ★★★☆☆ Directorial debut from the co-writer of THE CHASER. Corporate slasher, social commentary, unfortunately fumbles denouement.  Out to own today: Mr Holmes
