The last time Eddie Redmayne and Felicity Jones teamed up was for the TV movie of the week, THE THEORY OF EVERYTHING [2014]. Let’s hope this is a step up. The first felt fresh. Will the sequel add anything to the genre? THE BOYS [season one] ★★★★½ Power corrupts. What if the likes of Superman are malevolent? Whether cinema or television, this is one of the best superhero genre offerings out there. Intelligent, dark, and funny. Wait till you get to the scene with the dolphin, you’ll never look at Aquaman in the same way! Violent and sweary, it sh*ts on corporate greed and a myriad of other targets.
