I can't think of a better directed series. Think Kubrick, Fincher, and Dreyer rolled into one. “Don’t try to understand it. Feel it.” One of my most anticipated films of 2020: Starring Richard Gere and Peter Dinklage, I saw this in 2017. It is getting released in the USA in January. D: J.J. Abrams (The Force Awakens, Star Trek: Into Darkness, Super 8, Star Trek, Mission: Impossible III). S: Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Anthony Daniels, Richard E. Grant, Ian McDiarmid, Mark Hamill. The latest instalment is a combination of wooden soap opera and tedious nostalgia. There is no weight to the story or characters. This new trilogy is so lacking in creativity, it makes the prequels seem less of a misfire. It is director Steven Spielberg’s birthday. His top 5 films:
