Hi, I saw 324 films at the cinema. This is my movie review of 2011 - the best, worst, favourites and awards. http://www.filmaluation.com/2011-in-review.html An improvement on the Swedish original; and cleaves closer to the novel, while at the same slightly changing the ending. However, director David Fincher reins in his visual verve, though making something so slick that most Hollywood filmmakers would dream of emulating. The credit sequence is up there with his FIGHT CLUB one. 
30th Anniversary reunion for CAGNEY & LACEY. Tyne Daly (a.k.a Detective Mary Beth Lacey, on the left) was particularly sharp and hilarious.

Hi, my review of WAR HORSE is up! Spielberg used to be able to knock this kind of film out of the park; however here so much felt forced, like he was squeezing the square peg of the original story into the round hole of his seemingly out-of-touch sensibility.
