Calling all 007 aficionados! Are you in London between the 6th July and 5th September 2012? If so, head to the Barbican for an exhibition showcasing the gadgets, sets and costumes from DR. NO to QUANTUM OF SOLACE. It’s a retrospective to tie-in with the anniversary of the first cinematic outing of the debonair spy. A series that is still a benchmark that espionage thrillers are measured against, from MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE and TRUE LIES to ALIAS and BOURNE.
The huge Curve Gallery has been subsumed under memorabilia. We get M’s office, the stunning outfits from CASINO ROYALE, in particular Vesper Lynd’s, a recreation of the franchise’s most famous death scene from GOLDFINGER, and the iconic weapon from THE MAN WITH THE GOLDEN GUN; among much else.
