Hi, I saw three films on the first day:
- Familiar Ground
- Swans
- Utopians
None blew me away. The best was Familiar Ground,a Quebecois surreal comedy about a dysfunctional family.
Swans was also about family, but an even more dysfunctional one. With a bit of incest thrown in for good measure.
Utopians had a lot of walk outs. It concerned three friends making their way and it was pretty irritating.
True Grit was the opening night film. I've already seen it. As you expect from the Coens, it's stunningly well made, but I still prefer the original. :-)
