A BEAUTIFUL DAY IN THE NEIGHBOURHOOD ★★½☆☆
D: Marielle Heller (Can You Ever Forgive Me?, The Diary of a Teenage Girl).
S: Tom Hanks, Matthew Rhys, Susan Kelechi Watson, Chris Cooper.

Tom Hanks is a solid actor, excelling in PHILADELPHIA [1993]. And now here as well. He is superb as Mr Rogers. The film starts strongly as an entry into emotional intelligence, but the ending is saccharine and unsatisfying.
