My review of terrible cop flick THE KEEPER OF LOST CAUSES: http://www.filmaluation.com/the-keeper-of-lost-causes.html The trailer: “Beware of mediocrity, it is the fungus of the mind,” Dr Clair (Helena Bonham Carter)
My review of THE YOUNG AND PRODIGIOUS T.S. SPIVET: http://www.filmaluation.com/the-young-and-prodigious-ts-spivet.html Golf fans in general, Seve Ballesteros fans in particular, you may want to cast your eyes at this trailer: With DESPICABLE ME spin-off THE MINIONS movie on the horizon, we're surprised the Penguins haven't been given their own flick sooner. Out to own today: Lone Survivor ![]() “That’s a lot more than 10 guys,” Michael Murphy (Taylor Kitsch) Director-actor Peter Berg is coming off a stinker. One of the worst of 2012. You may have caught it. That’s right, BATTLESHIP. But it is a testament to his character that he dusted himself down and has now delivered a cut above war film. Double disappointment comes from a classy cast squandered, coupled with lead Frost off form (contrast his turns in the underrated PAUL and sci-fi spoof sitcom HYPERDRIVE). [To read more, click here.] Last Vegas ![]() “I’ll see you in 30 years pal,” Billy (Michael Douglas) THE HANGOVER has a lot to answer for. The stag-do, wedding movie subgenres have increased significantly. BRIDESMAIDS aside, the quality has not been to the standard that comedies should reach for. LAST VEGAS joins the duff A FEW BEST MEN. The quartet of normally excellent leads (Douglas, Robert De Niro, Morgan Freeman and Kevin Kline) drown in sub-standard material. All four have won acting Oscars. LAST VEGAS is a car crash where you want to look away. [To read more, click here.] Jon Hamm, Suraj Shama, Lake Bell, Alan Arkin and Bill Paxton star in Disney's MILLION DOLLAR ARM. Out in North America now, and the UK in August. The trailer: |
