Tonally deft, its political fury is mixed into potboiler mayhem. A risk, which might have been a mess, paid off. EASY [season two] ★★★☆☆
A show with thoughtful ideas at the core. A shame then that most episodes don't delve satisfactorily into them. The worst episode is still the brewery segment. The best: the Judy Greer one. THE MEYEROWITZ STORIES (NEW AND SELECTED) ★★★★½
For all the familial emotional savagery, there is hope portrayed without sentimentality. Out to own today: Terminator 2 [3D]
RICK AND MORTY [seasons 1-3] ★★★★½
Quantum physics and ribald humour. One of the most consistently mind-bending and inspired TV shows right now. Paddy Considine’s sophomore feature as director is not in the same league as his debut, TYRANNOSAUR. |
