After big budget less than satisfactory offerings, HOOK and PETER PAN, can the latest alter the run? Mumblecore goes body dysmorphia in SPRING, which comes out in the UK on Friday.
My review: http://www.filmaluation.com/spring.html At the TOMORROWLAND press conference today. In attendance:
- George Clooney (it was like looking in a mirror) - actress Britt Robertson - director Brad Bird (The Incredibles, Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol) - writer Damon Lindelof (co-creator of Lost). Am worried about this cast. The lead quartet are not versatile, but let's hope... TOMORROWLAND – A WORLD BEYOND ★★★½☆
Early Spielberg-esque in its positivity, yet director Brad Bird has not quite brought his A game. My review: http://www.filmaluation.com/tomorrowland.html Resistance is probably going to be futile if you have little kids (or even if you don't). |

Noun, “filmaluation”: The evaluation of a film Verb, "to filmaluate”: To evaluate a film I am well aware how difficult it is to make a film, put on a stage play, create a television show, write a novel, let alone make something of note.
