The only thing that made DAREDEVIL season two watchable was The Punisher. Out to own today: The Belko Experiment
I haven’t really been away blown by Yorgos Lanthimos’s films, bar DOGTOOTH. Will this change that? THE HITMAN'S BODYGUARD ★★½☆☆ D: Patrick Hughes (The Expendables 3, Red Hill). S: Ryan Reynolds, Samuel L Jackson, Salma Hayek, Elodie Yung, Gary Oldman. An action-comedy with strained laughs and little to raise the pulse. The leads deserve better than this.   CROWN HEIGHTS ★★★½☆ D: Matt Ruskin. S: Lakeith Stanfield, Nnamdi Asomugha, Natalie Paul, Bill Camp, Nestor Carbonell, Amari Cheatom, Josh Pais, Bryan Tyree Henry. What a first season! The sheer carnage one family causes. Jason Bateman excels as a morally fluid money launderer. Might this be the new BREAKING BAD?   AN INCONVENIENT SEQUEL: TRUTH TO POWER ★★★★☆ Spirited and engaging. An emotive companion piece to the Oscar-winning 2006 documentary.  |
