Hi my review of Deep End is up! Mike, “I love her.” Cinema owner, “You perverted little monster.” There is a mixture of the funny, sexy, disturbing and moving in this 1970 re-release. To read more, click here: http://www.filmaluation.com/deep-end.html Cars 2 is a bit meh, but director John Lasseter and producer Denise Ream were so interesting. A mesmerising talk at the BFI. Hi, my review of Requiem for a Village is up! If there is a focus of the film, it is the graveyard caretaker, who cipher-like, is used to connect the present with the past. People come out of the graves before him. Are they hallucinations? Imaginings? Supernatual? Allegorical dance to rock music; with something like seven drummers and four guitarists, plus a mini-orchestra. Hi my review of the final Harry Potter is up! What J.K. Rowling has done, is to conjure up an impressive, credible and imaginative parallel world; and not only that, using this framework to discuss the nature of morality, love and forgiveness. Noun, “filmaluation”: The evaluation of a film Verb, "to filmaluate”: To evaluate a film I am well aware how difficult it is to make a film, put on a stage play, create a television show, write a novel, let alone make something of note.
